Anybody living in and around London with more than a passing interest in flowers – whether it’s florists in Fulham, florists in Harrow and florists in Wimbledon or members of the public – is being urged to form part of the first-ever Interflora Flower School.

The aim of the inaugural Interflora Flower School is to help people to get creative and harness their floral passion in the most creative way, both over the Christmas period and throughout the other 11 months of the year.

A series of classes will take place in London’s West End from November 23 onwards when a team of Interflora will be on hand to dish out handy hits and tips and answer any questions or queries the first wave of ‘students’ may have about all things flower related.

The lessons are taught in a way so that people of all ages and abilities will leave Chandos House, the Georgian townhouse where the classes will be staged, armed with a wealth of new knowledge and ready to create a few alternative Christmas presents for friends and family.

Forget trekking around the shops in the build-up to the festive period searching for what to buy the people that matter to you and instead rustle up a floral masterpiece. Or treat that special somebody or yourself to a day out at the Interflora Flower School and enjoy an early Christmas gift with a difference.

Among the panel of experts who will be passing on everything they know from years spent in the flower industry is Sarah Horne.  She has been crowned the Royal Horticultural Society Florist of the Year in the past and is rated by The Independent newspaper as one of the UK’s top-50 florists, which is high praise in indeed.

Now Horne is ready to show just why she’s so revered in the flower world and is determined to inspire any budding gardeners in the process by showcasing her skills. Joining Horne will be the likes of Karen Barnes and David Ragg, who have both won gold medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show over the last few years.

Rest assured as you’ll be in safe hands at the Interflora Flower School as Ragg has also represented the UK at the Interflora World and Europa Cup, meaning he’s very much at the top of his game.
